KDK College of Engineering in Nagpur, which is affiliated with Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University, has been granted autonomous status by the University Grants Commission (UGC) starting from the academic year 2024-25.
Following the attainment of prestigious NBA accreditation for its five undergraduate programs, ISO certification for state-of-the-art laboratory infrastructure, and NAAC accreditation, securing autonomous status marks a significant milestone in the institute’s journey that commenced in 1984. The institute credits this accomplishment to Rajendra Mulak, Secretary, and Yashraj Mulak, Treasurer, of BCYRC’s KDKCE, while commending the dedication of Dr. C. C. Handa, Principal, Dr. A. M. Badar, Vice Principal, all Heads of Departments, and the entire staff.
The newly acquired autonomous status empowers KDK College of Engineering to create custom curriculum aligned with industry needs and job market requirements. The institute gains the freedom to establish its own evaluation system and internally declare results. With industry experts on its board of studies, the institute strengthens its connection with the industry. Building on a four-decade legacy, the institute aspires to reach new heights of academic excellence, offering B.Tech programs in various specializations and M.Tech programs in Structural Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Design..
In addition to engineering programs, KDK College of Engineering offers MBA and MCA programs. The faculty, consisting of 43 members, emphasizes integrating academic knowledge with practical applications, resulting in faculty awards and research grants from AICTE. The institution extends its academic ambitions beyond campus boundaries, actively participating in R&D initiatives to foster innovation and knowledge generation.
