Santra Burfy team’s ‘Tamrel’ bagged the first prize in the open category, while ‘Good News by Anthony’ made by the Dabba Team of students won the first prize in the Cine Story short film contest organised by the Department of Mass Communication of RTM Nagpur University.
A cash prize of Rs 25,000 was awarded at the hands of VC Dr Subhash Chaudhari. Marathi film Director Trushant Ingle, Head of the Department of Mass Communication Dr Moiz Haque, judge Anurag Kulkarni, and prize sponsor Rupal Anasane of Auto Traders were present.
Harshal Panchalwar, John Wingzedge, Sarthak Dev, Kisan Chaudhari and Rupesh Gongal of the Santra Barfi team were felicitated on the occasion. The second prize in the open category of Rs 15,000 was won by ‘Ghanerda’ film, while the third prize of Rs 10,000 was bagged by ‘Breath 404’. In the students’ category ‘Prarambh’ was adjudged second, while the name of the film winning the third prize has not been given.
Pradeep Maitra, Aditya Sharma, and Anurag Kulkarni were the judges for the contest. Dr Haque made introductory remarks. Sonu Sharma and Priya Jais conducted the proceedings. Pratiksha Wasnik proposed a vote of thanks.
