25 women bike riders embark on thrilling journey to tourist destinations ‘Queens on the Wheels’ launched, MPT officials flag-off Women’s Day will conclude in Bhopal .

THE FLAG OFF OF MADHYA PRADESH TOURISM BOARD’S BIKING EVENT “QUEENS ON THE WHEEL” TOOK PLACE FROM THE MADHYA PRADESH TRIBAL MUSEUM ON SATURDAY. 25 women bike riders from across the country set out on an exciting journey of 1400 km passing through the tourist destinations of Madhya Pradesh. The closing will be on returning to Bhopal on 08 March (Women’s Day).
In this, women riders from Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Ujjain, Indore, Gwalior, Dewas etc. will pass through iconic sites like Sanchi, Chanderi, Kuno, Gwalior, Orchha and Khajuraho from MP Tribal Museum, Bhopal.
Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture Department and Managing Director, M.P. Tourism Board Shiv Shekhar Shukla informed that safe tourism project for women is being run smoothly in Madhya Pradesh under the guidance of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav.
The trail aims to establish Madhya Pradesh as a safe and empowering destination for women travellers while promoting women empowerment and adventure tourism.
Principal Secretary Shri Shukla informed that the riders will experience the rich heritage, vibrant culture and indomitable forest areas of Madhya Pradesh during this period.
The women bikers will visit the country’s first Craft Handloom Tourism Village developed at Pranpur near Chanderi.
Rafting of Orchha and visiting the best tourist village Ladpura Khas will experience luxury glamping at the Kuno Forest Retreat developed near Kuno National Park. Other highlights will include the historic city of Gwalior, UNESCO World Heritage Site Khajuraho and the Adivarta State Museum.
During this period, Joint Director Adventure Dr. S.K. Srivastava, Deputy Director Finance Virendra Khandelwal and other officers were present from the Tourism Department
