A legal action has been taken against Sameer Staylo, who is a social media influencer and has been involved in many controversies before. He is accused for putting up hoardings without permission. On behalf of the Public Works Department, it has been blamed for the disfigurement of the city.
The incident happened at the Tehsil Police Station’s area. Anil Mankar, who works as a junior engineer in zone six of the municipality, made an official complaint. An unauthorized hoarding which was not allowed and was about getting more followers on social media, was placed in a noticeable spot at Netaji Chowk, near the Sewasdan building on Central Avenue. Sandeep Bua, who is in charge at the Tehsil Police Station, told Mankar about this. Mankar’s team quickly took down the sign and reported the issue to the Tehsil Police Station.
The police registered a case of defacement against two unidentified individuals, whose images were displayed alongside Sameer Staylo’s on the hoarding. Staylo’s history is marked by controversy; last year, he faced allegations of molestation, resulting in a police case. Additionally, in 2022, Staylo was involved in a high-speed car accident, injuring three individuals, including himself. Staylo’s legal woes worsen his image, stressing the need for obeying laws and respecting public areas.
