Akola saw the highest maximum temperature at 38.3 degrees Celsius, followed closely by Wardha and Yavatmal at 38.0 degrees Celsius. Brahmapuri recorded 37.3 degrees Celsius, Amravati 37.2 degrees Celsius, and Washim 37.0 degrees Celsius.
Other regions experienced similar warm conditions, with temperatures ranging from 35.0 to 36.6 degrees Celsius. Historical data indicates that March typically sees temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius in its final days.
This year’s early onset of hot weather suggests the region may face intense summer conditions starting from the second half of March. The Regional Meteorological Centre predicts temperatures to rise to 39 degrees Celsius by March 15, with relative humidity between 27% and 45%.
Experts anticipate temperatures nearing 43 degrees Celsius by month-end, indicating a harsh summer ahead.
