The 17th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is going to start from Friday. Six players from Vidarbha including Shubham Dubey, Jitesh Sharma, Umesh Yadav will play for different franchises in IPL. Shubham Dubey, who was sold for around 6 crores, is going to debut in IPL for the first time.
The opening match will be played between two big South teams Chennai and Bengaluru. In last year’s auction, Rajasthan Royals bought him for Rs 5 crore 80 lakh. Apart from Dubey, wicketkeeper batsman Jitesh Sharma and Atharva Tayde will be seen playing for Punjab. In the last season also, both the players were associated with the same franchise. Punjab has retained both the players and included them with them.
Yash Thakur will be seen playing in the Lucknow Super Giants, Umesh Yadav and Darshan Nalkhande of Gujarat Titans.
