J M Patel College, Bhandara won the Inter-Collegiate Atya Patya tournament conducted by RTM Nagpur University.
In the finals, Patel College defeated PWS College by 20-16, 24-18. The tournament was held at the University’s Sports Ground, Ravi Nagar, here.
Dhanwate National College defeated IDPC for the third place. DNC won by 13-9, 15-10.
J M Patel also won the top spot in the women’s category, by defeating PWS College 17-11, 18-18, 20-17. Barr S K Wankhede College bagged the third spot by defeating Kamla Nehru Mahavidyalaya with a score – 14-10, 12-10.
Dr Vijay Datarkar, Dr Yashvant Patil, Dr Sanjay Chaudhari, Dr Amar Chakole, Pravin Wahale, Dr Ankush Ghate, Dr Saurabh Mohod and Dr Sharad Suryavanshi were the guests for the prize distribution function.
