Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has given a detailed account of wealth in the election affidavit. Gadkari couple’s wealth has increased by 51 percent in the last five years.
In 2019, Gadkari and his wife had a combined wealth of Rs 10 crore 27 lakh 34 thousand 854. In 2024 this number increased to 15 crore 52 lakh 60 thousand 46. According to the information in the affidavit, Gadkari and his wife had movable assets worth Rs 1 crore 61 lakh 37 thousand 851 in 2019. In 2024, this number has increased to 2 crore 57 lakh 77 thousand 46. This includes cash of 27 thousand 50 rupees, ‘bank deposits’ of 65 lakh 10 thousand 300 rupees, investments of 38 lakh 50 thousand rupees, vehicles worth 45 lakh 94 thousand 843 rupees and jewelery worth 56 lakh 1 thousand 757 rupees.
No new immovable property has been purchased in the name of Gadkari and his wife during the period 2019 to 2024. In 2019, he had an immovable property worth Rs.8 crore 65 lakh 97 thousand. Now its valuation is 12 crore 94 lakh 83 thousand. Immovable assets include 15 acres of agricultural land in Dhapewada worth 1 crore 57 lakh 41 thousand, a flat in Worli with a current market value of 4 crore 95 lakh, an ancestral house in Dhapewada worth 1 crore 28 lakh 32 thousand, a house in Upadhye Marg Mahal worth 5 crore 14 lakh. Gadkari has 1 crore 32 lakh 90 thousand movable property and 4 crore 95 lakh immovable property.
