Aam Admi Party leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been remanded to judicial custody till April 15, in connection with the Deli Excise Policy case.
A Special Judge (PC Act) Kaveri Bawerja of the Rouse Avenue Court pronounced the court verdict on Monday. Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21 with the charges of money laundering in the case. He was produced before the court on March 22, which remanded him to ED custody till March 28, which was extended further till April 1.
Additional Solicitor General S V Raju, who appeared for the ED, said that Kejriwal is not cooperating with the investigating agency and tried to mislead the interrogation.
Kejriwal was the first sitting CM in India to be arrested.
