Vidya Abhisheki, wife of renowned singer Pt Jitendra Abhisheki and mother of Pt Shaunak Abhisheki passed away in Pune on Thursday due to old age. She is survived by her son Shaunak, daughter Mekhala, son-in-law Yogesh Khadikar, daughter-in-law Rashmi Bhisheki and grandchildren.
She was the daughter of Charity Commissioner Chandrakant Godse. She was educated in social science and later pursued higher education in London. She married Jitendra Abhisheki in 1969 and managed his Gurukul.
