Railway Protection Force’s Chandrapur and Nagpur team jointly took action and arrested 14 agents involved in black marketing of railway reservation tickets in a single day. More than 5 lakh railway tickets have been recovered from them. Action has been taken against all these brokers under the Railway Act.
In the summer season, illegal ticket brokers start making huge profits by taking advantage of the helplessness of passengers. Due to summer holidays, the crowd of passengers in trains starts increasing. These brokers who black market reservation e-tickets take advantage of this. Divisional Security Commissioner of RPF of Nagpur Manoj Kumar had directed to take special action against these brokers. After this, a big action was taken against ticket brokers in Nagpur and Chandrapur area in a single day.
During this, action was taken against ticket brokers at five places in Chandrapur, 5 places in Ghughus, 2 places in Bhadravati and one in Majhari. 61 live tickets and 210 used tickets have been recovered from them. These agents used to provide tickets to needy passengers by taking arbitrary commission from them. However, after this action of RPF, there is panic among the ticket brokers as well.
