All Electronic Voting Machines utilized for Lok Sabha elections are securely stored in a strong room at Kalamna, monitored by police personnel. Elaborate security protocols have been implemented for this task. Nagpur and Ramtek Lok Sabha constituencies each encompass six Legislative Assembly constituencies. Twenty tables will be designated for every Legislative Assembly segment, totaling 120 tables, with 17 vote counting sessions scheduled for June 4, as announced by district collector Dr. Vipin Itankar.
He addressed the audience during a press briefing convened at Bachat Bhavan within the premises of the district collector’s office on Friday.
Deputy district election officer Praveen Mahire and district information officer Vinod Rapatwar attended the event. Dr. Itankar, the district collector, also noted that despite a decline in the voting percentage, there has been an increase of 24,837 voters compared to the previous Lok Sabha elections. “Voters who could not vote on April 19 should fill and submit Forms 7 and 8. Even further, we will make sincere efforts to ensure that voters should vote and no voter should be deprived of voting. The names of the voters will be included in the voter list after the official verification of the issues due to technical difficulties.”
