The resident doctors of the Government Medical College, Akola went on a strike at 11 pm on Friday, following manhandling of three doctors by relatives of a patient.
The strike, however was withdrawn on Saturday afternoon after they were assured to provide adequate security.
Ankit Virendra Chaturvedi who was admitted to Ward number 26 in critical condition died on Friday evening. His relatives created ruckus in the hospital and beat three resident doctors in the hospital. Irritated by the incident the doctors went on strike around 11 pm. The strike was withdrawn after the authorities assured them to provide security protection at the hospital.
