Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has made a significant decision amidst the ongoing summer examinations. In response to concerns raised by students facing scheduling conflicts with the Chartered Accountant (CA) exams, RTMNU has postponed the BCom 2nd, 4th, and 6th Semester examinations scheduled for Summer 2024. Originally slated to commence from May 8 and May 9, 2024, the affected BCom exams will now be rescheduled to alleviate the pressure on students.
The decision to postpone comes as a relief to many students who are simultaneously preparing for the rigorous CA examinations. With the overlapping dates between the two sets of exams, students faced the daunting prospect of missing out on one of the crucial assessments. The BCom exams, spanning from May 8 to May 27, cover the second, third, fourth, and fifth semesters, while the CA exams are set between May 5 and May 16.
Given the significant number of students pursuing BCom with aspirations of qualifying for CA, the scheduling clash posed a genuine dilemma. Rahul Hanwate, a member of the RTMNU Senate, voiced the concerns of the student body and urged the university to adjust the exam timetable accordingly. In response to these pleas, RTMNU took the proactive step of postponing the affected BCom exams, ensuring that students can devote their attention to both sets of examinations without unnecessary stress and disruption.
