The Regional Meteorological Centre has predicted a few showers across Vidarbha including Nagpur.
The centre has issued yellow alerts for rains accompanied with thunderstorms, lightning, gusty winds at isolated places in Vidarbha.
It also issued yellow alerts for Nagpur, Wardha and Bhandara districts from Tuesday to Friday. Similar alerts have been issued for three days starting Tuesday for Chandrapur, Yavatmal and Gadchiroli and from Wednesday for Gondia district.
Rains are predicted in Akola, Buldhana and Washim on Wednesday and Thursday while Amravati is likely to be drenched on Friday.
Four districts experiencing day temperatures of over 44.0 degrees Celsius yesterday recorded slightly less today but it still seemed like being roasted. Only Brahmapuri registered 44.1 degrees Celsius today, closely followed by Akola (43.7 degrees) Chandra- pur (43.6), Wardha (43.5) and Washim (43.4).
Nagpur city registered 42.6 degrees Celsius which was 43.0 degrees on Sunday.
