Twelve aircraft are parked on the taxiway of Nagpur’s MIHAN-SEZ due to engine problems. The grounded planes of IndiGo Airlines and Go Air are waiting for their turn to get their engines repaired from the original manufacturer.
The planes were grounded since March after the engines in their flying machines developed problems. Currently, Indamer Aviation in Nagpur is providing technical support like maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) to these aircraft while they are parked here. Over 100 aircraft have been grounded and kept at different locations.
Due to lack of sufficient space at Nagpur airport, the aircrafts have been parked on the taxiway at MIHAN in such a way that there is no hindrance to the movement. However, when MADC officials were contacted, they refused to say anything on this.
