The state government has decided to install new Electric Smart Meters in place of the old meters. However, the work was halted due to the Lok Sabha elections. Now, after the voting in Nagpur city, Mahavitaran has started the work of changing the meters in several phases.
Under which, work of installing new Smart Meters will start from 25th May. In the first phase, the meter replacement work will be done in Shankar Nagar and Civil Lines areas of West Nagpur.
