The signing of the MoA between 895 bedded multi super speciality SHALINITAI MEGHE HOSPITAL & RESEARCH CENTRE, NAGPUR and the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) marks a significant stride towards ensuring quality healthcare for veterans in Nagpur. The hospital has made a distinct mark in Central India in the health care sector; and holds varied national and international accreditations.
Its mission of Affordable Quality Health Care would ensure cashless and quality health care to the ESM. The 895 bed HCO offers advanced health care treatments and surgeries. They have full time specialists in respective fields offering not only top of the line medical and clinical facilities, but also quality education and training. 24/7 services are provided by the hospital in critical departments with stationed doctors available in critical care.
SMHRC spread over in 28-acre DMIHER Off Campus based in Wanadongri has casualty complex with 30 beds, attached labour room, ventilators, mobile X Ray Unit, USG machine and major state of art equipment in their OT complex having 9 Theatres. Their 300 bedded dedicated maternal & child health Block inclusive of 26 beds NICU also underscores the commitment to maternal health and child wellbeing.
Equipped with cutting edge technology the Radiology division has a 50 slice CT scan enhancing their capabilities, ensuring detailed and precise imaging for a wide range of medical conditions.
HCO also has an in-house Blood & Components Lab named Dattatraya Blood Bank, ensuring continuous availability 24×7 blood and components.
Local government authorities had selected Shalinitai Meghe Hospital & Research Centre, as their health partner during G20 Summit and National Science Congress in 2023.

Retired IAF Officer Air Vice Marshal Suryakant Chafekar AVSM, SC who served as the Senior Air and Administration Staff Officer, Maintenance Command, IAF and is Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and Shaurya Chakra Awardee blessed the occasion with his presence.
With this empanelment, ex-servicemen pensioners and their dependents, who were previously limited to treatment in service hospitals, can now receive care at authorized private hospitals like SMHRC. This development is expected to significantly enhance the accessibility and quality of healthcare services available to ECHS beneficiaries in central India.
