The Other Backward Bahujan Welfare Department invites applications for admission to a newly established Government hostel in Nagpur, dedicated to accommodating 100 girls from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds including OBC, SC, NT, and SBC categories. The hostel is located at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Social Justice Bhavan, B Wing, near Government ITI, Shradhanandpeth.
Applications are open until July 27, and admissions will be granted strictly on a merit basis.
Reservation Details:
- OBC: 51%
- SC and NT: 33%
- SBC: 6%
- Disabled: 4%
- Orphans: 2%
- EBC: 4%
Admission Criteria:
- Applicant must be a resident of Maharashtra.
- Parent’s annual income should be less than Rs 2.50 lakhs.
- The student should be enrolled in the first year of a degree course (professional or non-professional) in the academic year 2024-25.
- Minimum 60% marks in Class XII are required.
Course Distribution:
- 70% of admissions are reserved for students pursuing vocational education.
- 30% of admissions are reserved for students pursuing non-vocational courses.
Prospective applicants are advised that preference will be given to those who are not residents of the city where the hostel is located.
