Maharashtra Electricity State Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL), known as Mahavitaran, is set to host its annual state-level drama competition on July 12 and 13 at Dr Vasantrao Deshpande Hall. This prestigious event will feature participation from Mahavitaran’s regional departments across Pune, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Konkan, and Nagpur.
The event will commence with an inauguration by Lokesh Chandra, Chairman and Managing Director of Mahavitaran, scheduled for 9 am on July 12. Mr. Chandra will also preside over the prize distribution ceremony on July 13. Directors Arvind Bhadikar, Prasad Reshme, Yogesh Gadkari, and Anudip Dighe, along with other prominent officials including Rahul Gupta from Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Richard Yanthan from Konkan, and Ankush Nale from Pune, will be in attendance.
Scheduled performances include Mahavitaran Pune presenting ‘Ti Fulrani’, a play penned by PL Deshpande, at 10 am on July 12. Later that day, Mahavitaran Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar will stage ‘Uttardayitva’ at 2.30 pm. On July 13, Mahavitaran Konkan will showcase ‘Double Game’ at 10 am, followed by Mahavitaran’s own production of ‘Nothing To Say’, written by Prakash Dani, at 2.30 pm.
The competition is open to the public free of charge, encouraging widespread participation. Sanjay Doke, Chief Convenor of the Organizing Committee, accompanied by Chief Engineers from Gondia, Nagpur, Amravati, and Chandrapur Centers, extends a warm invitation to citizens to attend in large numbers.
