The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday raided the homes and offices of the scientists involved in the Corruption in the National Institute of Environmental Engineering (NEERI). “It was alleged that some NEERI Officials had created dummy companies in the names of relatives and acquaintances and sanctioned purchase payments of over Rs 20 crore over four years for research and consultancy.
In 2020 CBI Summoned Abhay Sakhre, Roshan Singh, Somnath Majumdar, U. M. Taklikar, S. K. Goyal, Dr. P. K. Labhsetvar, Dr. Sunil Guliya, Atya Kaple, Dr. M. Suresh Kumar, Dr. Ritesh Vijay and Dr. Sunil Kumar to Delhi after issuing a notice. On Wednesday, a team of CBI raided NEERI officials Residence and Offices.
