The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced the results of the CA Intermediate exam on Thursday. Vedansh Jaipuriya, Shreya Saboo, and Kautuk Yemde, who appeared for both exam groups in Nagpur, secured the first, second, and third ranks respectively. Vedant Kakani and Veer Agarwal also achieved positions in the top five.
After passing the CA Foundation exam after Class 12 one has to prepare for the CA Intermediate exam for one year. They have the option to appear for exams of either one group or both groups simultaneously. According to the new syllabus, each group consists of three papers, totaling 600 marks across both groups.
This year the CA exam was conducted from May 3 to May 17. In this, 684 students took the exam from both groups, out of which 148 students have been successful. Vedansh Gaurav Jaipuria secured the top position with 504 marks out of 600. Shreya Amit Sabu secured 471 marks out of 600 and Kaituk Pradeep Yemde secured 466 marks out of 600 and bagged the second and third position respectively. Among the top five, Vedant Sandeep Kakani has scored 456 out of 600 and Veer Rishi Agarwal has scored 450.
Vedansh first in CA Foundation and Intermediate too
Vedansh Gaurav Jaipuriya, a student from Nagpur, has secured the first position in the CA Intermediate examination. He has scored 504 out of 600 marks. Vedansh had opted for both the groups and appeared for the exam. Interestingly, Vedansh got the first position from Vidarbha by scoring 352 out of 400 marks in the CA foundation exam after 12th. He said that success is not possible without dedication and consistency in studies. Started self study after online video lectures and classes till February. Revision of full course was done in March to April. He said that he appeared for both exams to- gether because of complete faith in himself.
He further said that he saved six months due to this. After this, he will prepare for the final examination by doing articleship for two years and he expressed confidence of getting a good rank in that too. Vedansh also said that he will do MBA after that.
Result of 8 to 10 hours of continuous study: Shreya Amit Sabu, a student from Nagpur, scored 471 out of 600, placing second in the city. Her father is a businessman, and her mother is a nutritionist. Shreya shared that she dedicated 8 to 10 hours daily to her studies, aiming to achieve a high rank in the CA Intermediate exams. She relied on self-study for three months, facing numerous challenges and moments of lost confidence, but she persevered despite the setbacks.
Shreya attributed her success to consistent study, which helped her gain the confidence to excel in both groups. She focused on the ICAI syllabus and practiced by solving old question papers. Her goal is to secure a job in a corporate company. Recently, Shreya interviewed with one of the top four accounting firms in the country and was selected. She mentioned that she will begin her articleship in the next few days.
Was confident of rank due to 10 hours of study: Kautuk
Kautuk Pradeep Yemde secured 466 out of 600 marks, earning the third position in Nagpur. His father is a businessman, and his mother is an HR manager. Kautuk shared that by studying continuously for 10 to 12 hours daily, he gained the confidence to take both groups’ exams together and achieve a high rank. He mentioned that he completed his entire preparation using the ICAI syllabus.
He said that he took both the groups as he did not want to waste time for six months. One has to study a lot, so the brain gets tired. At that time, he also shared his interest in music and stand-up comedy to relieve fatigue. Kautuk explained that further efforts are being made to join an investment banking firm in Surat for articleship.
