A significant moment in the advancement of healthcare services for rural communities took place on 14th July 2024 at Datta Meghe Medical College, Wanadongri, Nagpur, marking a milestone in the provision of healthcare to these areas.
The Handing Over Ceremony of The Satsang Foundation Advanced Mobile Medical Unit and the MOU Signing Ceremony with Shalinitai Meghe Hospital & Research Centre, Nagpur, were honored by the esteemed presence of M, Founder of The Satsang Foundation.
M, a Padma Bhushan awardee, Chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University, and renowned spiritual guide and social reformer, has been instrumental in promoting various social and healthcare initiatives through The Satsang Foundation. His presence underscored the importance of this initiative in addressing the healthcare needs of the rural populace.

The ceremony began with the formal handing over of The Satsang Foundation Mobile Hospital Unit, a state-of-the-art mobile medical facility equipped to provide essential healthcare services to remote and rural regions. This Mobile Unit was donated to TSF by the Valuable Group, led by Shri Narendra Hete, Shri Amay Hete, and Shri Sanjay Gaikwad. This initiative is a significant step towards bridging the healthcare gap and ensuring that quality medical care is accessible to all, regardless of geographical location.
Following the welcome address by Dr. Lalit Waghmare, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed and exchanged between The Satsang Foundation and the SMHRC, symbolising a partnership aimed at delivering comprehensive healthcare services to rural communities. This collaboration will leverage the strengths of both organizations, combining resources, expertise, and outreach capabilities to maximize the impact of healthcare delivery.
In his address, M emphasized the importance of accessible healthcare and the role of mobile medical units in reaching the most marginalized populations. He stated that Spirituality and Altruism goes hand in hand and each human being is a walking temple as he or she has the divinity spark inside . He expressed his gratitude to all stakeholders involved in making this initiative a reality and reiterated his commitment to continuing efforts in improving public health.
Dattaji Meghe expressed his unwavering support for the initiative and emphasized the vital role of healthcare in rural development.
Shri.Ashish Shellar-MLA & BCCI Treasurer in his online address expressed happiness over this joint initiative undertaken and offered all feasible help to ensure its success.
The program started with a traditional welcome and felicitation of all dignitaries, with Dr. Rajasi Sengupta serving as the master of ceremonies. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Anup Marar and a collective pledge to work towards the betterment of healthcare services for rural communities. The Handing Over Ceremony and MOU Signing mark a significant chapter in the journey towards equitable healthcare for all, setting a precedent for future initiatives. A large number of DMIHER officials and Satsang Foundation members attended this noble event.
