Schools under the banner of Bhavan’s Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir showcased their intellectual prowess at the Quizzest, a quiz competition centered on the Olympic Games. The event, organized by SGR Knowledge Foundation and Sports Journalists Association of Nagpur (SJAN), took place at Riaan Tower, Sadar, garnering enthusiastic participation from students across various branches.
Bhavan’s Trimurti Nagar branch clinched the championship with a remarkable tally of 11 points. The winning team, comprised of Advait Lade, Mrunal Kokate, Abheer Warnekar, and Naman Tripathi, demonstrated exceptional knowledge and teamwork.
Following closely, BVM Lloyds Vidya Niketan from Wardha secured the second position with six points. The team, consisting of Piyush Kalontri, Abhinav Jarodkar, Anay Pandit, and Aaradhaya Jha, showcased commendable acumen in the competition.
Bhavan’s Civil Lines branch secured the third position with five points. The team, comprising Avaneesh Awari, Vivaan Chandurkar, Aashna Badwaik, and Shrawani Mazarkar, displayed a strong performance throughout the event.
The event was supported by Raisoni Group of Institutions and District Sports Office, with Sunil Raisoni, Chairman of Raisoni Education, presiding as the chief guest for the prize distribution ceremony. The occasion was graced by Director Palakh Raisoni, international table tennis umpire Mangesh Mopkar, SJAN president Dr. Ram Thakur, and secretary Paritosh Pramanik.
The quiz masters Naresh Shelke and Amit Sampat orchestrated the competition while international athlete Sayali Waghmare managed timekeeping. Dr. Amina Vali, Director of Sadabai Raisoni Women’s College, Amit Gandhare, Director of PR, and volunteers from the college contributed significantly to the success of the event.
The program was skillfully conducted by Sakina Raghib, with Mrunal Naik from Raisoni Group proposing a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of all participants and organizers.
