The Asiatic Big Cat Society, in association with the Rotary Club of Nagpur ELITE, has organized a Tiger Awareness Poster Competition to mark International Tiger Day on Monday, July 29. The event will feature Shri Bharat Singh Hada, IFS, Deputy Conservator of Forests, Nagpur, and Dr. Girish Gandhi, a renowned environmentalist and social worker, as the chief guests.
The competition is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. at the Tiger Capital Statue, opposite the Institute of Science in Civil Lines, Nagpur. All participants will receive a participation certificate in addition to the regular prizes.
There is no participation fee for the event, and citizens and students are encouraged to create their posters at home, either painted or sketched. Dr. Ajay Patil has appealed to the residents of Nagpur to participate in large numbers to support this awareness program aimed at protecting wildlife, particularly tigers.
