An enthusiastic response was received to the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ rally on Monday. The rally was organised as a part of the Amrut Mahotsav of Indian independence.
The rally began from the Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s Chhatra[pati Shivaji Maharaj new administrative building. Additional Commissioner Anchal Goel flagged off the rally. Deputy Commissioners Prakash Warade, Milind Meshram, Dr. Gajendra Mahalle, Medical Officer Dr Deepak Selokar, Sports Officer Dr Piyush Ambulkar, Assistant Superintendent Rajkumar Meshram, and other officers and staff were present.
Goel said that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ mission is being implemented till August 15 to promote patriotism. She appealed to the people to actively participate in the mission.
The vehicles of the Fire Brigade led the rally, followed by the staff of other departments. The rally passed through Liberty Cinema Square, Chhaoni, , Old Katol Naka, Japanese Garden, Seminary Hills, Ladies Club Square, G S College Square, Shankar Nagar, Jhansi Rani Square, Anand Cinema, Loha Pul, Mohshadham, Sardar Patel Square, Jagnade Square, Gangabai Ghat road, Itwari Telephone Exchange Square, Agrasen Chowk, Mayo Hospital, Samidhan Chowk and back to NMC office..
The rally culminated into a cultural programme by the students based on patriotism Additional Commissioner Ajay Charthankar appreciated the talent in the students. Sports Officer Piyush Ambulkar and PRO Manish Soni were present.
