The Social Work Institutes will celebrate the National Social Work Week (NSWW) from August 15 to 21 on the lines of Global Social Work Day.
The week is being celebrated to highlight the development achievements of the social work profession in India, to take pride of the social work profession, and to look at the bright side of the profession to Co-create opportunities for mutual learning and empowerment.
During the week-long celebrations attempt will be made to bring all professional social workers on one platform for establishing a collective identity to the profession.
The celebrations will conclude on August 21, the Indian Social Work Day. The theme of the National Social Work Week this year is ‘’School Social Work: Opportunities and Challenges’, informs Dr Keshav Walke of MSS Institute of Social Work.
