A grand event to celebrate the ‘Mukhyamantri Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana,’ a welfare initiative designed to uplift underprivileged women, is set to take place on August 31 at Reshimbagh Ground in Nagpur, informed District Collector Dr Vipin Itankar here on Tuesday. This scheme, envisioned by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, aims to promote the economic and social empowerment of women across the state.
In preparation for the event, District Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar convened a meeting with department heads today to ensure smooth execution of the program. Additional Commissioner of Nagpur Municipal Corporation, Achal Goyal, and other key officials were present at the meeting. Dr. Itankar emphasized the importance of organizing every detail meticulously, from cultural performances for beneficiaries to seating, parking, transportation, health check-ups, drinking water, and sanitation facilities. He stressed the need to ensure that women attending the event do not face any inconvenience.
The ‘Mukhyamantri Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana’ is part of the state government’s broader efforts to empower women through financial independence and self-reliance. To receive benefits under the scheme, women are required to link their bank accounts with their Aadhaar numbers. Dr. Itankar assured that all eligible women would be included in the scheme.
