A shocking incident took place in Khalasi Line in Kamptee. An eight-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a 50-year-old man living in the neighbourhood. Police have arrested accused Adesh Dhaniram Wasnik.
The accused tried to sexually assault the girl by removing clothes from her body on the pretext of buying food. She went home crying and told her mother about the incident.
The mother lodged a Police complaint at Juni Kamptee police station. Police registered a case under POCSO Section 8, 12 of the BNS and arrested the accused.
