With the final hurdles in land acquisition now cleared, the long-delayed Kamptee Road flyover project has gained momentum and is nearing completion. Spanning 5.6 kilometers, the flyover faced significant delays due to land disputes but is now entering its final construction phase.
The recent resolution has paved the way for rapid progress on the Kamptee Road flyover, a crucial infrastructure project for Nagpur. Expected to significantly reduce traffic congestion in key areas like Indora Square and Gaddigodam Road, the project has faced numerous delays due to complications in land acquisition.
Originally slated for earlier completion, the project encountered setbacks when discrepancies in land acquisition proposals led to prolonged negotiations.
With these issues now resolved, the project has swiftly progressed, indicating a potential completion within the next three months. Funded by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) at a cost of ₹572 crore, the flyover is expected to significantly alleviate traffic congestion, offering much-needed relief to daily commuters along this busy route.
