The Central Railway Nagpur Division has intensified its efforts to curb unauthorized vending activities across various sections of its network. From August 1 to August 27, 2024, a total of 48 unauthorized vendors were detected in different sections of the Nagpur Division.
The breakdown of unauthorized vendors detected in various sections is as follows:
- Nagpur platform/station: 29
- Pandurna-Betul section: 5
- Nagpur-Betul section: 4
- Nagpur-Wardha section: 3
- Betul-Nagpur section: 3
- Nagpur-Ghoradongri section: 3
- Ballarshah-Nagpur section: 1
Passengers are urged to be vigilant and check for stickers on cooked food packages that indicate the date and time of cooking. Food items without these stickers should not be purchased, and it is advised that food be consumed within four hours of cooking to ensure safety. Passengers should only purchase Rail Neer packaged drinking water, which is the authorized brand.
The Central Railway Nagpur Division requests passengers to verify vendor identity cards before making any purchases. For any complaints or concerns regarding food quality, passengers can dial 139 or log complaints on the RailMadad portal for prompt assistance.
