Chess Star Divya Deshmukh to Receive ‘Yuva Nag Bhushan Award’
General Manoj Pande, PVSM AVSM VSM ADC (Retd), the 29th Chief of Army Staff, will be honored with the esteemed ‘Nag Bhushan Award’ on October 5 for his outstanding service to the nation.
International Master Divya Deshmukh, who played a pivotal role in India’s success at the Chess Olympiad in Budapest, will be honoured with the ‘Yuva Nag Bhushan Award.’ The award ceremony, organized by the Nag Bhushan Foundation, will also recognize General Manoj Pande for his remarkable contributions.
Established in 2002 to commemorate the Tercentenary of Nagpur, the Nag Bhushan Foundation has spent the last two decades recognizing and honouring distinguished personalities from the Vidarbha region through its prestigious awards. These awards celebrate individuals who have brought national and international recognition to the region, highlighting their outstanding contributions.
Union Minister for Road Transport, Nitin Gadkari, will be the chief guest at the award ceremony. The event will take place at Summit Hall, Hotel Radisson Blu, Wardha Road, starting at 6 pm. The awardees will be honoured with a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, a shawl, shreeful, and a memento.
