The Sanatan Dharma Yuvak Sabha is set to celebrate its 73rd Dussehra festival on October 12 at the historic Kasturchand Park in the city. The event, beginning at 4 pm, will feature the worship of towering 50-60 foot effigies of Raavan, Kumbhakarna, and Meghnad, followed by vibrant cultural performances including Ras Garba and Dhol Tasha.
In a press conference at the venue, Sanjiv Kapoor announced that Vishwa Mamatwa Foundation, the country’s first transgender group, will perform a special presentation titled “Ghar Aa Jao Ram,” inspired by the works of Manoj Muntashir. Narendra Satija revealed that Ashirvad Movietone will showcase a captivating light and sound play, highlighting key moments from the Ramayan, including the epic battle between Jatayu and Raavan.
The event will be graced by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis as chief guests. The grand celebration will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display organized by the Sanatan Mahila Samiti.
