The Traffic Branch of the city police has implemented detailed traffic arrangements for the Dhammachakra Pravartan Din event at Deekshabhoomi on Saturday. Several key roads will be closed to vehicular traffic, including the stretch from Kachipura Square to Mata Kacheri Square, Kalpana Building Ramdaspeth T-point to Kachipura Square, Mata Kacheri Square to Kriplani turning, and portions of Wardha Road. The closures also affect roads from Bajaj Nagar Square to Laxmi Nagar Square and Mata Kacheri Square to Neeri T-point.
Public transport, such as Aapli buses and MSRTC buses carrying devotees, will be parked along both sides of the road between Bajaj Nagar Square and Kachipura Square.
Traffic diversions will be in place for vehicles coming from Lokmat Square toward Bajaj Nagar. These vehicles will be rerouted through Panchsheel Square, Rani Jhansi Square, University Library Square, and Alankar Talkies Square. Vehicles heading toward Kachipura Square from Alankar Talkies Square will be diverted via North Ambazari Road.
Residents near Deekshabhoomi must collect passes for vehicle movement from the Police Inspector (Traffic), Traffic Zone, Sonegaon. Visitors attending the Dhammachakra Pravartan Din programme can park their vehicles at designated locations, including Dharampeth Science College, Dharampeth Arts College, Tarkunde Dharampeth High School Ground, Bajaj Nagar Basketball Ground, Dandige NMC Ground, Deaf and Dumb School, Shankar Nagar Square, NMC Ground behind Indira Gandhi Rugnalaya, and along the roadside between Ajni Railway Bridge Square and Kriplani Square.
This traffic notification, issued by DCP (Traffic) Archit Chandak, will be in effect from 9 am on October 11 to 10 pm on October 14.
