The Tehsil Police have apprehended an employee of Laxmi Paper Mart for allegedly stealing goods worth over ₹1.5 lakh from the company’s warehouse in Ganjakhet Chowk. The thefts are believed to have taken place between August 1 and October 18, 2024.
According to police reports, the complainant, Bharat Jethalal Khuslani, aged 44, a resident of Rajat Vihar, Mecosabagh, Jaripatka, owns Laxmi Paper Mart. He grew suspicious of discrepancies in the inventory and decided to review the security camera footage of the warehouse.
The accused, identified as Kiran Dadaji Nimje, aged 38, a resident of Shivaji Nagar, Hanuman Chowk, Nagpur, was employed at the warehouse. Between August 1, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. and October 18, 2024, at 8:30 p.m., Kiran allegedly stole 26 bundles of register pages, valued at approximately ₹1,53,488, from the warehouse.
Based on Khuslani’s complaint and the evidence from the security footage, the Tehsil Police have registered a case against Kiran Nimje under Section 306 of the BNS. The accused has been apprehended, and a detailed investigation into the matter is currently underway.
