A 15-year-old boy, who left his home without informing anyone on October 21 at around 5:30 p.m., has been found safe in the Jayprakash Nagar area. The boy’s father, a 40-year-old resident within the jurisdiction of Sonegaon police, filed a complaint indicating that the family had reprimanded the boy for not focusing on his studies, which prompted him to leave the house without notice.
When he failed to return home, the family conducted a search but could not locate him.
They feared he might have been lured away by an unknown individual. Following this, a case was registered at Sonegaon Police Station under Section 137(2) of the BNS.
In a parallel investigation, officers from the Crime Branch’s Anti-Human Trafficking Unit employed technical surveillance and gathered vital information, which led to the boy’s safe recovery in Jayprakash Nagar. Upon his return, he was counseled before being handed over to the Sonegaon police for further proceedings.
