Thirteen polling centers in Nagpur District will be exclusively managed by all-women teams, a step aimed at raising voter awareness and boosting women’s participation in the electoral process. The Central Election Commission has prioritized the establishment of women-controlled polling centers, which will be staffed entirely by women, including the Presiding Officer, polling staff, and security personnel.
These centers are selected in areas where female voters outnumber male voters. Unlike previous elections, where these booths were distinguished by the color pink, there will be no specific color scheme this time.
In the Ramtek Assembly segment, two all-women booths will be set up at Shriram Vidyalaya (Room No. 3), and one in Parseoni at Harihar Vidyalaya (Primary School, Room No. 4). Additional all-women polling centers will be established in Gumgaon (Zilla Parishad School, Room No. 1) for the Saoner segment, Isasani (ZP Higher Secondary School) in Hingna, Katol High School for Katol, Dadasaheb Balpande College of Pharmacy (Room No. 2) in Kamptee, and the Panchayat Samiti office in Umred.
Urban polling centers with all-women teams include Milind Primary School in South West Nagpur, KDK College in East Nagpur, Shri Ma Bhagwati Chaturvedi Engineering College in South Nagpur, Baba Nanak Sindhi Hindi Middle School in Central Nagpur, Hyderabad House in Nagpur West, and Viniyalay High School in North Nagpur.
These polling centers have been carefully chosen to ensure they are not in remote or sensitive areas, providing a safe and comfortable environment for women voters to cast their ballots confidently.
