To mark Constitution Day, the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Swimming Pool Swimmers and Parents Forum, in collaboration with the National Life Saving Society and Aqua Sports Club, has organized a 26-hour swimming expedition aimed at setting a new record.
The event was inaugurated by Club President Mohan Nahatkar and commenced at 9:00 am on Monday. The launch ceremony saw the presence of DC Phule from the Vidarbha Athletic Association, Sanjay Batwe, an observer from the Maharashtra State Amateur Swimming Association, and Muralidhar Pavanikar, Director of Phulwari School, Vaishali Nagar. Coaches Bhola Ambade, Praveen Lamkhade, Vishal Chandurkar, and Shashikant Chande from Aqua Sports Club were also present at the event.
Swimmer Rohan Waghmare kicked off the record attempt, followed by Gargi Hivre and Shravani Parate, who successfully completed their segments as of this report.
On this occasion, Nahatkar addressed school students, emphasizing the importance of sports and health in daily life.
The expedition will conclude on Tuesday at 11:00 am, culminating in a prize distribution ceremony.
