To address growing traffic congestion on the Inner Ring Road in South-West and South Nagpur, two new flyovers have been proposed.
The first flyover will be a railway overpass stretching from Radisson Blu Hotel to Manish Nagar, with an estimated cost of Rs 82 crore. This project aims to reduce delays caused by heavy vehicular traffic in the area.
The second flyover will connect the under-construction structures at Manewada Square and Mahalgi Nagar Square. This addition, with a budget of Rs 142 crore, will create a direct link between Shatabdi Square and Dighori Square, ensuring smoother traffic movement along the route.
The Public Works Department’s World Bank Project Division has already begun the planning and procedural work for these projects, which are expected to significantly enhance the city’s traffic infrastructure.
