The Nagpur chapter of SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Among Youth) is organizing a Kathak Dance Festival from April 27 to 29 to commemorate World Dance Day.
The festival will open on April 27 with a performance by renowned Kathak maestro Pt. Rajendra Gangani from Delhi. The event will be held at Banyan Hall, Chitnavis Centre, starting at 6 PM. Pt. Gangani will be accompanied by Vinod Kumar on vocals, Pt. Fateh Singh Gangani on tabla, and Shrish Bhalerao on violin.

On April 28, celebrated Kathak artist Monisa Nayak will perform at Bhavan’s B P Vidya Mandir, Srikrishna Nagar, at 10 AM. She will also perform on April 29 at South Central Zone Cultural Centre, Civil Lines, at 5:30 PM. Her accompaniment will feature Mohammad Akram on tabla and Pankaj Rawat on harmonium.
