Following the murder of café operator Avinash Bhusari, members of the notorious Hiranwar gang have split into two groups and fled to different parts of North and South India to evade arrest. In a major breakthrough, the Crime Branch has apprehended Rohit Murke, one of the key accused, from Durg in Chhattisgarh.
The investigation revealed that on the night of April 14, Bunty Hiranwar, Shakti Yadav, and their associates gunned down Bhusari in Nagpur. Since then, police have launched an intensive manhunt to track down Bunty and other gang members. So far, five accused, including a minor, have been arrested, with Simran Lokhande and Rishabh Wankhede being nabbed on April 21.
After committing the murder, Bunty and his associates initially fled to Bhandara and later moved to Madhya Pradesh. Fearing police action, the gang members decided to split up — one group headed towards Uttar Pradesh, while the other traveled to Tirupati via Visakhapatnam. The division made it more challenging for authorities to track them, as they adopted extreme measures to avoid detection.
Rohit Murke, who had separated from the gang after the incident, was captured during a targeted raid based on a tip-off in Durg. During interrogation, Murke is providing crucial information regarding Bunty Hiranwar’s network and the movements of other absconding gang members.
The murder of Avinash Bhusari has triggered widespread outrage among citizens and Bhusari’s family, who are demanding the swift dismantling of the Hiranwar gang. Meanwhile, police efforts are underway to locate and arrest the remaining fugitives spread across the country.
