Nagpur: A high-speed motorcycle accident claimed the lives of two young men on Narendra Nagar bridge in Pratap Nagar jurisdiction early Thursday, around 1:00 am.
The accident occurred when Arjun Lalbahadur Vishwakarma, 19, a resident of Bhagwan Nagar, Ajni, was riding his Activa scooter toward Coca-Cola Square. Following him on a Pulsar 220 motorcycle were his friends, Adarsh Ramesh Samarth, 24, from Old Babulkheda, Parvati Nagar, and Aditya Rakesh Meshram, 18, from Kiranapur, Hudkeshwar Road.
Adarsh, who was riding the Pulsar without a helmet and at a high speed, reportedly lost control of the motorcycle. The vehicle hit the divider on the bridge, causing both Adarsh and Aditya to sustain critical injuries. They were rushed to Medical Hospital for treatment but were declared dead on arrival by doctors.
An offence has been registered. Further inquiries are ongoing.
