The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Priyadarshini College of Engineering recently conducted a One-Week Online AICTE-ATAL Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Blockchain and Cyber Security: A Technological Transformation for Smart City Infrastructure” from 2nd December 2024 to 7th December 2024.
This program brought together faculty, researchers, and industry professionals to explore innovative solutions for smart city challenges using blockchain and cyber security technologies. The sessions were delivered by esteemed experts, including Dr. Deepak Prashar from Lovely Professional University, Mr. Ashwin Kumar Balani, CEO of FITech, Dr. Janak Adhikari from Queen’s University Belfast, Dr. V. M. Nanoti, Director (Engineering), and Mr. Surendra Joshi, Senior Information Security Specialist at Druva Data Solutions. Other prominent speakers were Dr. Rizwan Ahmed, CTO at DelaPlex, Dr. Deepanjal Shrestha from Pokhara University, Mr. Upresh Tikam from Persistent Systems Ltd., and Dr. G. M. Asutkar from Priyadarshini College of Engineering.
The sessions covered critical topics such as cyber threat intelligence, IoT and blockchain integration, security protocols, environmental sustainability, and data integrity for IoT devices in smart cities. Hands-on training and practical applications ensured participants gained valuable insights and skills.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Leena Patil, Head of the Department, along with Dr. Vijaya Balpande and Dr. Namrata Khade.
