Sundarmala, Champakali, Laxmi, and Jayashri are on leave for 15 days and will not be available for services to the tourists in Melghat.
Do not get shocked. The four are female elephants serving the tourists for jungle safari in Amravati’s tourist spot Melghat. The four are granted leave from January 10 to 25. The breaks are required for their pedicure. The caretakers wash their legs and apply oil and medicines to strengthen their legs. The services are imparted for 15 consecutive days so that they can serve the tourists better. The elephant ride in the jungle safari in Melghat will remain closed during these 15 days.
The cracks in the feet are healed and muscles strengthened through the health services for 15 days. The elephant ride will be available regularly from January 26.
