A new and modern initiative has been launched for passengers at Gondia Railway Station on Platform No. 01 (south direction), South East Central Railway’s Nagpur Division. The Paid AC Waiting Room service has been introduced from January 27, 2025. The old waiting room has been completely renovated and replaced with a state-of-the-art waiting hall equipped with modern amenities. This facility has been introduced for the first time at Gondia Station with the aim of providing a comfortable and secure environment for passengers of all classes.
- Comfortable and Modern Seating Arrangements:- Comfortable sofas have been installed, keeping passenger comfort in mind.
- Entertainment Facilities: The waiting room offers amenities such as TVs and other entertainment options to help passengers spend their time better.
- Refreshment Stalls: Fresh and hygienic snacks and beverages have been arranged for passenger convenience.
- Advanced Toilets and Washrooms: High-quality and clean toilets and washrooms are available in the waiting room.
- Baby Care Room for Women: A separate baby care room is provided for the convenience of women.

DilipSingh,Sr.Divisional Commercial Manager informed that adult passengers will need to pay ₹20 per hour, while children can use this facility for ₹10 per hour. This service is not limited to upper-class passengers but is also accessible to lower-class passengers, ensuring that everyone can benefit from this initiative. This service caters to the needs of all passengers, making their journey more comfortable. Efforts are being made to introduce such facilities at other railway stations, aiming to benefit passengers across all categories, increase railway revenue, create employment opportunities, and contribute to economic growth.
This initiative by Gondia Railway Station is a significant step towards improving the travel experience for passengers. The Railway Administration of Nagpur Division urges passengers to make use of this new facility and contribute to its success.
