As part of the Constitution Amrit Mahotsav celebrations, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department, has launched a citywide awareness campaign through a specially designed tableau on the Indian Constitution. The initiative aims to educate citizens about constitutional rights and duties.
The campaign was inaugurated on January 26, Republic Day, by Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, who flagged off the tableau. Under the guidance of NMC Commissioner and Administrator Dr. Abhijit Chaudhary and led by Assistant Commissioner of the Social Welfare Department, Sukeshini Telgote, the awareness drive is being conducted across all ten municipal zones of the city.

Since January 27, the tableau has been touring different parts of Nagpur, spreading awareness about the significance of the Indian Constitution. On January 30, the campaign was conducted at Satranjipura Zone from 10 AM to 12 PM, covering areas such as Vit Bhatti, Pardi Flyover, and Automotive Square. Later in the evening, from 4 PM to 6 PM, the awareness drive took place at Kachchi Visa ground in the Lakadganj Zone.
The initiative has already reached several zones, including Laxmi Nagar, Dharampeth, Hanuman Nagar, Dhantoli, Nehru Nagar, and Gandhibagh. The Social Welfare Department’s efforts through this tableau have been instrumental in educating citizens on constitutional principles, ensuring a well-informed and responsible society.
The campaign continues to receive widespread appreciation and is expected to cover more areas in the coming days.
