Deputy Chief Minister and Finance and Planning Minister Ajit Pawar on Monday chaired a high-level meeting to finalize the General Annual District Plan for 2025-26 for Nagpur division. A budget proposal of ₹1,763.70 crore was presented and approved during the meeting.
Ajit Pawar conducted a district-wise review through video conferencing, involving Guardian Ministers and District Collectors to assess ongoing development projects and future initiatives. The plan aims to boost infrastructure development and public welfare across Nagpur, Wardha, Bhandara, Gondia, Chandrapur, and Gadchiroli districts.
The approved financial allocation includes ₹509.6 crore for Nagpur, ₹207.22 crore for Wardha, ₹173.27 crore for Bhandara, ₹198.51 crore for Gondia, ₹340.88 crore for Chandrapur, and ₹334.76 crore for Gadchiroli.
Key officials, including Finance and Planning Minister of State Adv. Ashish Jaiswal, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Madhavi Khode, and District Collectors from all six districts, participated in the meeting.
The plan underscores the government’s commitment to regional growth and development, focusing on infrastructure, employment generation, and social welfare initiatives to address the diverse needs of the region.
