Just a day after its grand inauguration, a section of plaster from the newly opened bridge in East Nagpur collapsed at Prajapati Chowk on Friday, February 21. The falling debris struck the car of BJP West Nagpur senior leader Navneet Srivastava, which was being driven by his son, Vishesh Srivastava.
While Vishesh sustained minor injuries, the car suffered significant damage. The incident caused heavy traffic congestion on the stretch, which was later cleared by Pardi police.
The collapse has sparked serious concerns about the quality of construction and the premature opening of the bridge, as the consequences could have been far more severe if lives had been lost.

Authorities are expected to investigate the structural integrity of the bridge to prevent further incidents.
