Patanjali will soon establish the largest food processing and herbal park called “Patanjali Mega Food and Herbal Park,” in Nagpur. The park will focus on food processing and agricultural innovation to enhance farmers’ prosperity and advance the agricultural sector. The announcement was made by Acharya Balkrishna, Managing Director of Patanjali Ayurveda, during a press conference in Nagpur.
Acharya Balkrishna mentioned that Nagpur, with its historical significance and agricultural heritage, is poised to become the hub of the largest food processing and herbal park in Asia. He emphasized that the park would not only process high-quality food products but also generate employment opportunities for local farmers, thereby improving the livelihoods of the rural population.
The plant will have the capacity to process 800 tons of products per day, including A-grade food products and B-grade food materials. The project will utilize cutting-edge technology, including zero-waste processing systems and modern agricultural methods. The state-of-the-art plant will provide significant benefits to local farmers and contribute to making Maharashtra a leading agricultural state.
The inauguration of the park will take place on March 9, 2025, and will be attended by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde. Acharya Balkrishna highlighted that the park’s focus will be on sustainable and eco-friendly farming, offering training programs to develop local manpower and enhance skill sets in food processing.
The project aims to create new job opportunities, improve local farming practices, and boost the region’s economy. Additionally, the park will help diversify food products, including processed fruits, vegetables, and juices, and explore new markets for export-quality products.
This initiative will not only benefit the agricultural community but also ensure high-quality, sustainable products for domestic and international markets. Patanjali’s approach reflects a strong commitment to improving the livelihoods of farmers while promoting environmental sustainability.
