Crime Branch Unit 2 raided LSD Café in Dharampeth on Thursday, March 6, uncovering an illegal hookah parlour operating on the premises. The accused, Arslan Mirza Faheem Beg (24), was caught supplying banned tobacco-based hookah products to customers.
During the operation, police seized hookah-related materials worth ₹54,400. A case has been registered at Ambazari Police Station under Sections 4(1), 5(1), and 21 of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA), 2003, as per the Maharashtra Amendment Act of 2018.
The raid was conducted under the supervision of Commissioner of Police Dr. Ravinder Singal, with guidance from Joint CP Nisar Tamboli, Additional CP (Crime) Sanjay Patil, DCP (Detection) Rahul Makanikar, and ACP (Crime) Abhijeet Patil. The operation was led by PI Shubhangi Deshmukh and her team.
